RSA Renewables Pvt Ltd apart from being an Operations & Maintenance Contractor, also engages in providing sub-contract services including Thermography Test, IV Curve Tests and Insulation Resistance Tests for Solar Power Plants.
Thermography Tests
At RSA Renewables, an advanced Aerial Thermography device and method is adapted to visualise defects on Solar modules. Using an IR Camera, a thermal image of the module, strings, cables, junction box, combiner box are captured and the temperature data recorded are used to identify any issues. Both Visual and Thermal image recorded helps identify issues such as module damage, bubbles/moisture intrusion, corrosion, hotspots at cell, module, string level and faults at junction box, combiner box.
IV Curve Tracing
The installation quality and performance of PV modules and Strings can be analysed using a Solar IV Curve Tracer. This device helps in plotting the IV Curve of the PV modules and PV strings to determine the root cause of underperformance if any. The nature of the IV Curve traced can be used to identify issues causing underperformance such as shading/soiling, shorted bypass diode or cell string, microcracks/visible cell cracks, snail trails etc. Based on these reports, rectification of issue shall be recommended depending upon the severity measured.
Aerial Site Surveys
RSA Renewables uses an advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) or Drone to rapidly acquire data from points generally considered inaccessible by humans. Using a drone, the cost and workload of engineers spent on a site survey can be substantially reduced. The high-resolution images captured embed highly accurate data using which Terrain and Elevation Models, Contour Layouts, 3D Ortho Photogrammetry, Dimensions of objects/obstructions can be obtained.

Power Lines
Transmission and Distribution Lines and Towers require maintenance operations to be carried out to avoid and decrease faults that eventually cause power disruption. At RSA Renewables, we deploy our drone with an advanced Visual and Thermal camera to detect any error or defects in the power transmission towers and lines, thereby avoiding the manpower risk from scaling heights and hazardous situations while at the same time improving data accuracy, cost and time efficiency.

Wind Turbines
Wind turbines with their tall towers and huge blade structures, impose serious challenges to manpower inspecting them for regular maintenance. At RSA Renewables, we reduce this risk by employing our drone to collect data and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to increase uptime and ensure the lifespan of blades and turbines are intact. Using a drone, any structural problem not visible from outside or from ground level can be easily detected and subsequent corrective measures be recommended.
